Dr. Fredric M. Ham, IEEE Life Fellow, SPIE Fellow, and INNS Fellow,Melbourne, USA
Dr. Fredric M. Ham, IEEE Life Fellow, SPIE Fellow, and INNS Fellow is the Director of Science and Technology at Tricorp Business Solutions, and Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University in 1976, 1979, and 1980, respectively. He has over 35 years of professional engineering experience. From 1977 to 1978 he worked for Shell Oil Company as a Geophysicist. From 1980 to 1988 he was a Staff Engineer at Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Florida, where he worked in the Systems Analysis Group (one of many tasks he performed all of the error analysis for the fine guidance control of the mirrors on the Hubble Space Telescope for the spiral scan and orthogonal search modes). He also worked in the Large Space Structures Controls Group (there he developed robust control algorithms for flexible space structures). He was at Florida Institute of Technology from 1988 to 2014 where he was the Harris Professor, Dean of the College of Engineering and Vice President for Research. While at Florida Tech, in his Information Processing Lab (IPL), he developed methods for non-invasive glucose monitoring for diabetics (one licensed patent), robust neural-based classification methods for tactical and strategic infrasound applications and speaker recognition, and developed the P3CBT software package (a versatile event classification package that is available for licensing), and proactive predictive network security methods for Manets, to name a few. He has published over 100 technical papers, holds 3 U.S. patents and is author of the textbook: Principles of Neurocomputing for Science and Engineering, McGraw-Hill, 2001. Dr. Ham’s current research interests include: neural networks, deep learning, artificial intelligence, adaptive signal processing, biosensor development, speech recognition, pattern recognition, wireless network security, tactical infrasound, and development of neural-based classification methods using infrasound for monitoring nuclear explosions to support the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. Dr. Ham is the Past President of the International Neural Network Society (INNS) (2007-2008), served on the INNS Board of Governors (2009-2011), and is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, Eta Kappa Nu and Sigma Xi.
Dr. Sheng-Lung Peng, National Dong Hwa University, Hualien, Taiwan
Sheng-Lung Peng is a full Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan. He received the BS degree in Mathematics from National Tsing Hua University, and the MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Information Engineering from the National Chung Cheng University and National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, respectively. His research interests are in designing and analyzing algorithms for Combinatorics, Bioinformatics, and Networks. Dr. Peng has edited several special issues at journals, such as Soft Computing, Journal of Internet Technology, Journal of Computers and MDPI Algorithms. He is also a reviewer for more than 10 journals such as IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing, Theoretical Computer Science, Journal of Computer and System Sciences, Journal of Combinatorial Optimization, Journal of Modelling in Management,Soft Computing, Information Processing Letters,Discrete Mathematics, Discrete Applied Mathematics, Discussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory,etc. Dr. Peng is now the director of the Library and Information Center of NDHU. He is a secretary general of Association of Algorithms and Computation Theory (AACT) and of Institute of Information and Computing Machinery (IICM) in Taiwan. He is also a convener of the East Region of Service Science Society of Taiwan as well as a director of the ACM-ICPC Contest Council for Taiwan. Recently, he is elected as a supervisor of Chinese Information Literacy Association.He has been serving as a secretary general of Taiwan Association of Cloud Computing (TACC) from 2011-2015.

Dr. Detlef Streitferdt, Technische Universität Ilmenau, Germany
Detlef Streitferdt is Senior Scientist at the Technische Universität Ilmenau in Germany. He is working in the field of software architecture and product lines, model-driven development for embedded systems, model-based testing and software development processes. Detlef studied Computer Science at the University of Stuttgart, got his Dr.-Ing. from the Technische Universität Ilmenau and was working as Principal Scientist at the ABB AG Corporate Research Center in Ladenburg, Germany before he returned back to the University.
Dr. Swagatam Das - Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India
Swagatam Das received the B. E. Tel. E., M. E. Tel. E (Control Engineering specialization) and Ph. D. degrees, all from Jadavpur University, India, in 2003, 2005, and 2009 respectively. Swagatam Das is currently serving as an associate professor at the Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India. His research interests include evolutionary computing, pattern recognition, multi-agent systems, and wireless communication. Dr. Das has published one research monograph, one edited volume, and more than 200 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. He is the founding co-editor-in-chief of Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, an international journal from Elsevier. He has also served as or is serving as the associate editors of the IEEE Trans. on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine, IEEE Access, Neurocomputing (Elsevier), Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (Elsevier), and Information Sciences (Elsevier). He is an editorial board member of Progress in Artificial Intelligence (Springer), PeerJ Computer Science, International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing, and International Journal of Adaptive and Autonomous Communication Systems. Dr. Das has 12000+ Google Scholar citations and an H-index of 54 till date. He has been associated with the international program committees and organizing committees of several regular international conferences including IEEE CEC, IEEE SSCI, SEAL, GECCO, and SEMCCO. He has acted as guest editors for special issues in journals like IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation and IEEE Transactions on SMC, Part C. He is the recipient of the 2012 Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE).
He is also the recipient of the 2015 Thomson Reuters Research Excellence India Citation Award as the highest cited researcher from India in Engineering and Computer Science category between 2010 to 2014.
Dr. Niloy Ganguly - Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India
Niloy Ganguly is a professor of computer science, IIT Kharagrpur who works in three different but related fields: (1) Online Social networks, (2) Network Theory, (3) mobile systems. Prior to his current position as a faculty at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, he was working as a Research Scientist in Zentrum für Hochleistungsrechnen, Technische Universität Dresden for two years. He received his Ph.D from IIEST, Shibpur and BTech from IIT Kharagpur.
He is a part of a very active research group CNeRG (Complex Network Research Group) http://cnerg.org in IIT Kharagpur. He has been collaborating with various national and international universities and research lab including UIUC, TU Dresden, Germany, MPI PKS and MPI SWS, Germany, Microsoft Lab, Adobe Labs, HP Labs, NetApp Labs etc. He currently publishes in various top ranking international journals and conferences including ICDM, ACL, WWW, INFOCOM, SIGIR, SIGKDD, SIGCHI, ICWSM, CSCW, NIPS CCS, PODC, Euro Physics Letters, Physical Review E, ACM and IEEE Transactions, etc.
Dr. K K Shukla, IIT(B.H.U.), Varanasi, India
Dr. K K Shukla is a Professor in the department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology BHU. He has 35 years of teaching and research experience. He has chaired the department for two terms and held several administrative responsibilities. Before joining IIT(BHU), he was with HAL where he contributed to several projects of national importance. He is also a Fellow of IETE, IE, member of ISTE, and Senior Member of CSI. He has completed his PhD and M.Tech with Gold Medal from BHU. He has more than 160 publications that are well cited, 24 Intellectual Property Rights, 8 books and 2 book chapters. He has produced 18 PhD's and 2 are in progress. He has organised 8 International Conferences and Short term courses. He has also delivered 18 invited lectures at several Conferences and Symposiums. He has successfully executed 11 Sponsored Projects. He is also a key Resource Person at several government and non-government organizations. He has also received Computer Engineering Division Medal from Institution of Engineers. He has organised 8 International Conferences and Short term courses. He is currently the Chairman of the Supercomputer Establishment Committee at IIT(BHU) under the National Super-computing Mission, and Professor in-charge (Faculty Affairs), IIT(BHU).
